It’s not every day Colorado’s favorite football team makes it to the big game. With orange and blue on the minds of Coloradoans statewide, one local shopping center decided to celebrate game day weekend with the coolest event in town!
The Promenade Shops at Briargate hosted Southern Colorado’s largest Broncos ice sculpture with the talent of Cool Hand Ice Carving’s award-winning sculptor, Jess Parish.
Parish, 2014 Ice Art World Champion and second place winner in the 2015 World Championship in Fairbanks, Alaska, carved a two-ton ice sculpture, Friday, February 5 just outside of Ted’s Montana Grill and entertained shoppers and community guests with a design that rallied spirits and even donned orange and blue LED lights.
From start to finish, the design took approximately three hours to complete. Those in attendance enjoyed free hot chocolate, prizes and giveaways from participating merchants.
“We are absolutely thrilled to see the Broncos in the big game this Sunday,” said General Manager of the Promenade Shops at Briargate, Deanna Miller. “To show our support we decided to go all-out. It really seemed like such a great way to get our community and our merchants involved in something we all can get excited about.”
The Shops at Briargate are continuing to celebrate throughout the weekend and fans are encouraged to show their team spirit and support the Broncos to victory against the Carolina Panthers by wearing orange and blue.
The sculpture will remain at The Promenade Shops at Briargate until the weather melts it away. Those wanting a photo are encouraged to stop by the sculpture and tag The Promenade Shops on social media and use the hashtag #UnitedInOrange for additional opportunities to win prizes from shops like Sephora, Anthropologie, Apple and more.
