Meridian Ranch, a master-planned community located in Falcon, two miles north of Woodmen Road on Meridian Road, hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting at the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center to celebrate their newly built indoor pool Monday, May 2.
The event which kicked off with several congratulatory speeches from members of the leadership and management teams, builders, designers and development company was followed by a ceremonious ribbon cutting.
“We’re thrilled to have the doors open just in time for the summer,” said Vice President of Marketing, Jenny Tchang Frost. “The families in our community are going to love it. The new pool has lanes for laps, a huge whirlpool spa, a lazy river and even a water playground for the kids to play in.”
Shortly after, a crowd of excited Meridian Ranch residents and members were ushered into the pool area. To add to the excitement, drawings were
held for the first person to jump in each of the four new pools and first to go down the slide.
Swim lessons also kicked off on Monday at the Meridian Ranch Rec Center where a host of family-friendly activities and classes are scheduled to take place throughout the month of May.
More than 400 residents and members attended the grand opening and were invited to explore the 42,000 square-foot facility managed by the YMCA to enjoy hot dogs and refreshments. The rec center offers a wide range of exercise classes, swim lessons outdoor and indoor swim lessons, volleyball, weight training and adult and youth sports.
In addition to the pool, more developments are underway, including The Shops at Meridian Ranch, a 215-acre Falcon Regional Park, a three-acre Longview neighborhood park and 181 new home sites.
